Podcast with Figurative Sculptor Janet Bodin

I love Moon Dance. Is he not just the coolest guy ever? He was created by Janet Bodin, a Houston figurative sculptor–also known as an art doll artist. I first saw Janet’s work was when I was a judge for the Treasures of the Gypsy Challenge at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, where we awarded her first place–we were just blown away. Yes, her pieces are *that* fabulous. Recently, I got to talk to her for an upcoming profile in the summer 2012 issue of Art Doll Quarterly, out May 1st. In this podcast we talk about ideas and inspiration, and we talk a lot about her studio renovation: she was just getting ready to start the project when we talked for the magazine interview, and now it’s just finishing up–the floors were being put in and she was getting ready to move in the furniture today.
