Zen Doodle: Oodles of Doodles Featuring Your Art!

Calling all Zentangle® and Zen Doodling artists: we want to share your art!

ZendoodleTT_ad300Meditative doodling has always been a freeing experience (who doesn’t love a great flourish scattered across a page here or there) and now with the huge success of Zen Doodle: Tons of Tangles, we want to give you MORE! More tangles, more doodles, more Zen Doodles!

And that’s where you come in… your art could be featured in our new book Zen Doodle: Oodles of Doodles if you share your work with us. It’s that simple!

HERE ARE THE DETAILS:

What: Your original Zentangle® or Zen Doodle tiles (approximately 3.5″ x 3.5″). Have you created a new pattern or used an existing one in a unique way? We want to see it! (Sorry, no mugs, doors, guitars, or any of those other more exotic places or sizes for tangling. We’ll save that for later. Just tiles please.)

When: Now, Friday, January 17th, 2014 through Friday, March 14th, 2014

Where: Online! Post pictures of your tiles:

  • email us at info@createmixedmedia.com
  • Instagram — email us at info@createmixedmedia.com via your Instagram account (refer below for step-by-step directions).
  • Pinterest — be sure to tag us in the comment @CreateMixedMedia otherwise we won’t see it.
  • Twitter — be sure to tag us in the comment @CMixedMedia otherwise we won’t see it.

Cost: Nothing! This isn’t a formal competition so there is no entry fee to submit your doodled tiles.

What’s in it for you: If your art is selected you get bragging rights for having your art published in a North Light book, plus you get a free copy of Zen Doodle: Oodles of Doodles so you can prove it to your friends!

Sound like fun? We think so! Start doodling and send us your artwork… NOW!

(A little fine print: If your art is selected, you must be able to provide a high resolution image of your final tile, along with tiles demonstrating the first three steps toward creating your tile so readers can practice. You must hold the copyright to your artwork. This contest isn’t connected to or endorsed by the official Zentangle® group in any way, but we do love their work!)

I am so excited about this possible opportunity. It would be a dream come true! I do have a few questions though. How many tiles may we submit? Can the tiles be sent via email or do they need to be one of the other ways? If I use pinterest should I set up a board for those submissions? Last, could I send you my blog address and submit there? Thank you!

      Hi Cathy 54,

Sorry your comments didn’t show up at first. We have a really tight spam filter and a lot of legitimate comments go there for us to double check first.

You can submit as many tiles as you want but they do need to be submitted via email or one of the other ways listed above. Unfortunately your blog won’t work. But I do think setting up a board for your submissions will work; just make sure to give us the link to it.

      Thanks!
      Amy

I have several questions, how do I contact you? I tried asking in a comment earlier but they didn’t show up.

Any idea when we will be notified if our art work is going to be in this publication? I am “anxiously” waiting!
