I’ll bet you’ve thought about it, haven’t you? That it would be interesting to be a metal artist? Let’s face it, it’s cool, right? You’d make your own jewelry and (tons of other stuff) — the possibilities would be endless. But where would you start? You’d definitely need some sort of training or education or something. Something to help you build skills and learn jewelry making techniques. Maybe a class or workshop. Yeah, that’s it. A workshop.

Well, we here at Create Mixed Media are totally with you in thinking that a metal arts workshop would be a very good thing. So we’ve made that happen and in the form of a pair of anywhere, any time, at-your-convenience DVDs  starring one of our favorite people — Thomas Mann!

Contemplative Thomas

One of the many things Thomas loves about the jeweler’s saw is it’s versatility. Most people know it in terms of metalsmithing and making jewelry, but Thomas loves to share with students that there are virtually no limits to the items it can cut. In the background you’ll see plastic, wood, shells, metal and more — all cut using his favorite tool.
