Another Podcast with The Fabulous Jill Berry

Lucky me: it’s time for my semi-regular mostly-every-month podcast with Jill. (Get an inside look at Jill’s book, Personal Geographies: Explorations in Mixed-Media Mapmaking, here.) I adore talking to Jill: she’s never boring, she’s never static, she’s never doing the same thing she was doing last time I talked to her. This month she’s preparing for a new workshop by researching her four favorite artists and thinking about how to teach students to copy. Yeah, you heard me: teaching people to copy other artists. Radical? Not really; think “retro” instead: she’s going back to the old school idea of copying to learn. Click on the photo below to listen to Jill explain why this ancient way of learning art is still valid today~~and then go here to see more of her work and to play along with her huge studio clean-out and give-away. You don’t want to miss out on this one~~

The Jill Berry podcast doesn’t work when I click on the picture.

Sorry about that. I went back in and tried half a dozen times to get the photo to hold a link, and it won’t (I have no clue why not), so I added the link just above it. So sorry for the inconvenience.
