In the second workshop, Alternative Art Cards with Margaret Peot, Margaret Peot encourages you to step away from traditional methods for art journaling and to start being creative on a consistent basis by building a portable card-deck journal. You’ll quickly see how these little cards can become canvases for responding to what is happening all around you!

Work step-by-step alongside Margaret through four “seasons” as you learn techniques for:

  • stenciling
  • gouache resist
  • lemon juice aging
  • stamp carving
  • 109 minutes of personal workshop instruction.

ABOUT MARGARET PEOT

Margaret Peot is a painter, printmaker and writer who has made her living as a freelance artist for more than 20. She has done creative work for Broadway theater (The Lion King, Wicked, Shrek the Musical, Spamalot), dance (San Francisco Ballet’s Nutcracker, The Feld Ballet), television (a Siegfried and Roy Special), film (Bram Stoker’s Dracula, The Naked Man), and the circus (Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey, Big Apple Circus). Margaret taught costume painting at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and has worked on murals for public spaces.
